What exactly is somatic breathwork?
Somatic breathwork, also called transformational breathwork, can take many shapes and forms but the style we generally work with is an active, conscious breathing technique that takes you out of your thinking mind and into your heart space, into your soul.
Think of it this way: Your breath is the gateway to unlock your inner light – where you hold joy, happiness, and love. But before that happens, you have to move through energetic blocks and layers of stored tension.
The breath helps you awaken your own healing power. And, this is where the magic happens.
On the other side of darkness, there is always light.

What is a group experience like with New England Breathwork?
Each guided group breathwork journey starts with a check-in where we will set an intention as we establish a safe, energetic container. We discuss what might transpire during the workshop and what you can expect. We then demonstrate the breathing technique that you will be practicing during the experience. After this, you’ll lay down, get comfortable and move into a period of 20-30 minutes of active breathwork, followed by a lengthy period of relaxation and integration. During this part of the journey, we may guide you through other forms of pranayama practices or a meditation.
While you are breathing, the space is infused with energy healing modalities such as Reiki and Reconnective healing. This helps you go deeper in your own experience. While you are in the relaxation/integration mode, we will sometimes do some hands-on grounding techniques at your lower legs and feet (with permission only).
During the experience, we sometimes use sage, paulo santo, sweet grass, and manifestation sprays (made from the purest essential oils) and other techniques to help you ground and open your heart. If we use any of these we will ask for permission first. If anyone has allergies, we refrain from using any oils.
All workshops include a curated playlist to take you deeper.

Private sessions are targeted to YOU. They are tailored to exactly what YOU need in this moment.
We combine breathwork and our own blend of energy healing modalities to help you experience a profound emotional and energetic release. This, in turn, can lead to clarity and connection to your true self.
Each session begins with a short discussion. If there is anything you want to work on specifically, we are here to listen.
Once the session begins, we help you unlock your energy field and the healer within. You may feel a profound release on a physical, emotional or spiritual level.
Some say they feel a soul connection to themselves – something they’ve never felt before.
Your session is a safe space for you to release whatever may be holding you back; whatever no longer serves you. To help move stagnant energy and stored trauma, we sometimes use essential oil blends which correlate to the 7 Chakras.
While every session is different and your energy knows where it needs to go in that moment, I will say this: In my 20+ years of teaching yoga, meditation and yogic pranayama techniques, this simple, heart-opening breathwork and energy healing modality is the fastest and most powerful way to heal, and experience your true self.
